The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Local Chapter 1088 will be providing Young Eagle Flights at the Gillespie County Airport November 11 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  The pilots who participate in the Young Eagles program are local members of EAA who volunteer their time and aircraft to make these flights possible.  All of the pilots participating are certified with the Federal Aviation Administration or Transport Canada and are conducted according to federal regulations.

Reservations are required and flights are limited.  Pilots will explain how airplanes work, describe aeronautical charts, the plane’s interior and the instrument panel.  All flights will last roughly 15 to 20 minutes and follow the basic steps in the flight pattern.  A parent or legal guardian must be in attendance.

To register for a flight or for more information, call (210) 887-3155.
