FEMA announced the opening of a new Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) to provide support to survivors and flood-affected families in Kerrville. The new location comes after the closure of the center located at First Baptist Church in Kerrville, which opened just short of a week after the disaster and remained in operation until Friday.
The new Disaster Recovery Center opened on Saturday, Aug. 23 and is located at the Hill Country Youth Event Center at 3785 Memorial Blvd. off Highway 27. The new DRC is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1 for Labor Day.
Those who suffered damage or loss in the recent floods can visit any Disaster Recovery Center in Kerr County to get their questions answered and submit documents for their case files.
