FISD names Dr. Ann Dixon as Interim Superintendent

The Fredericksburg ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Ann Dixon as interim superintendent, effective January 1, 2026 in a special meeting held Tuesday night.

“As we enter the next phase, the board will begin the formal search for a permanent Superintendent,” the board wrote in a press release posted on the FISD website.  “One of the first steps will be selecting a search firm to assist with the process.”

FISD says that once a firm is selected, a recommended timeline outlining each stage of the search will be posted on its website at www.fisd.org.
