The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Friday, October 2, 2026, which remains in effect until 7 p.m. tonight as scattered showers and thunderstorms continue across the area.  Additional rainfall amounts will generally range from 0.5 to 3 inches, with isolated pockets of up to 6 inches possible.

People are reminded to stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings.  Always know where you’ll go if severe weather or flooding threatens.

Never drive through flooded roadways.  Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
