Fredericksburg Middle School officials have made the decision to go remote for Friday and the campus will stay closed through Labor Day. “During this time, the campus will be deep cleaned, but all staff will be available to help with your child,” FMS Principal Sheryl Jacks said.
As of 10:34 a.m. Thursday, Fredericksburg ISD officials said no other campus will be going remote. Teachers will be providing sixth grade students with paper assignments during class Thursday.
Seventh graders with access to the internet who don’t have their own devices will be able to check out a device during their science class. Students with a personal device will be provided assignments through Google Classroom.
Students in eighth grade checked out devices last week and have already been provided assignments through Google Classroom. Eighth grade students needing paper assignments will be provided with those during class on Thursday.
Any student needing technology assistance can file a help request at www.fisd.org/students or by calling the technology help line at (830) 990-0289. Teachers will be available from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
FISD families can also contact Jacks at (830) 997-7657, or sheryl@fisd.org.
