Fredericksburg PD asking for the public’s help in catching car burglar

The Fredericksburg Police Department is looking for someone they believe is stealing from cars.  They have released photos from surveillance videos in hopes someone can help.

The police department posted on social media new images to help track down the person of interest.  They say they responded to several car burglaries in the Creek Street and Highway Street area earlier this week.  The images, which appear to be screen captures from surveillance video, show a man with facial hair, wearing a grey sweatshirt, shorts, and sneakers.

Police are warning to always make sure your vehicle is locked and you are not leaving valuables in sight.  They also warn to never approach or confront someone who may be involved in car burglaries.  Stay in a safe spot and call 911.
