FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — The Fredericksburg Police Department (FPD) is asking the public’s help with information regarding an ATM theft that occurred Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Fredericksburg.
FPD says that either two or three individuals used a white Ford pickup truck to forcibly open an ATM, located at First United Bank, at around 4 AM Wednesday, April 28, to steal the cash inside of it.
After the suspects were successful in gaining access to the ATM and stealing the cash inside, police say that they fled the scene and left the white Ford pickup truck behind, which was later determined by investigators to be stolen. FPD says the suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV.
The Fredericksburg Police Department says that they have developed a person of interest from surveillance photos taken from the bank and that investigators continue to view the footage to attempt to identify any others involved.
“If still images of the suspect or suspects can be captured, the photos will be made available for viewing,” said a Facebook post from the Fredericksburg Police Department.
If anyone has information pertaining to this case, they are asked to contact the Fredericksburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 830-997-7585 or use their Crime Stoppers app through their website at p3tips.com. Anyone with information can remain anonymous if they choose.
