The City of Kerrville’s Senior Services Advisory Committee will be handing out free fans to citizens on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, July 12 at the large pavilion at Louise Hays Park. The fans were donated by Lowe’s, Home Depot and Gibson’s.
The Senior Services Advisory Committee acts as an advisory body to the City Manager and City Council to ensure the provision of services to the elderly, advise City Council as requested on elderly issues, and help identify programs for the elderly that are needed in the community. Create Healthy Thrift Shop in Fredericksburg is currently collecting new fans to be given to the Hill Country Community Needs Council. Fans can be dropped off at 520 Granite Avenue. For additional information, call (830) 997-7688.
