The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office released additional details Monday into the ongoing investigation of a man who was shot to death by a woman who claims he kidnapped her.  According to GCSO officials, the 45-year-old woman called for help on Friday around 12:40 p.m., saying she had been drugged and kidnapped and that she shot someone.  The woman was located near a winery off East U.S. 290 near Fredericksburg.

On Saturday afternoon, investigators identified the victim as 49-year-old Lance Damon Reid, who had been living in the Houston area.  The woman is a resident of Montgomery, Texas.  Authorities say the two were on a planned weekend together at the time of the incident.

Reid’s father told KHOU in Houston that his son was not a violent person and he is in a state of “disbelief.”  The woman was taken to a hospital and later released.

Officials say the woman, identified as Amy Maynor Lejeune, won’t face charges.  The investigation is ongoing.
