Gillespie County ‘Back-to-School’ reminders

The Fredericksburg Independent School District is hosting several back to school events this week beginning Monday, August 5, with the high school’s registration scheduled from 1-4 p.m.

Fredericksburg Middle School registration will be held on Tuesday, August 6, from 8 a.m. to noon, or 1-4 p.m.

Stonewall Elementary School’s back-to-school night is Wednesday, August 7, from 5-7 p.m.

Fredericksburg Elementary School will be hosting its ‘meet-the-teacher’ on Friday, August 9, from 9 a.m. to noon.

FISD kicks off its 2024-25 school year on Wednesday, August 14.  Doss Consolidated Common School District opens its doors to students on Monday, August 26.

The Harper Independent School District begins its fall semester on Thursday, August 15.  Last week, the Harper ISD Board of Trustees approved the purchase of attendance credits from the state and items related to November’s school board elections.  Trustees also set the date for a public budget hearing for Thursday, August 22 at 6 p.m.
