Gillespie County candidates can officially file for a place on the 2024 Primary Election ballot starting November 11. The filing deadline for candidates is December 11 at 6 p.m. Republican and Democratic candidates seeking office should file their candidacy papers with their party’s county chair.

Along with federal and state office filing, the Gillespie County primary elections will see many offices up for election, including: county attorney; county commissioner Precinct 1; county commissioner Precinct 3; county court at law; district attorney; tax assessor/collector and sheriff.
