Where to dispose of your live Christmas trees

Gillespie County residents are being offered live Christmas tree disposal as part of the regular brush chipping service if they have active garbage collection accounts with the City of Fredericksburg.  This service is offered the same day as a customer’s regular garbage collection day.

Residents are asked to completely dispose of decorations on the tree before trees are picked up.  For more information, call (830) 997-7521.

The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting live Christmas trees for recycling until January 15.  The designated drop-off area is located in Lehmann-Monroe Park, 200 Park Lane, near the Park Lane/La Casa Street Park entrance, and there is no cost associated with this program.

Christmas trees must be free of ornaments, lights, hangers, icicles, strings, and any other glass, metal or plastic.  For additional information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (830) 257-7300, or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov
