The Johnson City Science Mill is offering families a chance to escape the summer heat by exploring the center’s ongoing ‘Shark Week,’ which continues daily through July 18 (museum is closed Mondays). Shark Week explores the ocean’s apex predator through a series of STEM-based activities offered at the center, including 4D experiences, robotics, and digs for shark teeth. Visitors can call in advance for daily activities, or visit the museum’s website at www.sciencemill.org.
The museum is located at 101 South Lady Bird Lane, in Johnson City, at the corner of U.S. 290 and Lady Bird Lane. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit museum which first opened in 2015 to offer innovative STEM programs and interactive exhibits to all students , regardless of economic status, location, gender or race.
