The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division arrested a Kerrville man for methamphetamine sales and distribution following a month-long investigation. On March 7, KCSO deputies secured an arrest warrant for 44-year- old Dustin Lee Walters, of Kerrville. Deputies discovered approximately fifty grams of methamphetamine, along with packaging and scales. Additionally, one stolen firearm and one firearm with the serial number removed were also seized during the search, according to a press release.
Walters was booked into the Kerr County Jail on Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, with his bond set at $20,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
“Our investigators continue to root out drug dealers and distributors of all sizes,” said Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha. Leitha added, “This individual was operating in the middle of Kerrville, with a significant amount of methamphetamine.” KCSO officials say that combating the drug trade in Kerr County remains a top priority.
