KCSO arrests two on meth charges in Ingram

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested two individuals on Tuesday, May 4, in Ingram on charges for drug possession and delivery of 17.82 grams of methamphetamine. KCSO Narcotics Investigators were assisted by DPS Criminal Investigations Division, the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and DPS Highway Patrol.

Lacy Gwendolyn Petty, 28, of Fredericksburg, and Dominic Zane Cooper, 20, of Kerrville, were arrested during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Junction Highway in Ingram. According to the criminal complaint, both suspects acted together in a prior drug sale, for the Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, for the sale of 2.75 grams of methamphetamine, a second-degree felony.

During the traffic stop, the report states that an additional quantity of methamphetamine was discovered inside the vehicle, belonging to Cooper. The criminal complaint states that Petty and Cooper also acted together in the Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, for the possession of 15.07 grams of methamphetamine, a first-degree felony.

Both suspects were arrested without incident and booked into the Kerr County Jail with bonds totaling $75,000 each. As in all criminal cases, charges may be modified prior to a trial.

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha released a statement saying, “The KCSO Narcotics team continues to increase the risks to those involved in the drug trade in Kerr County. The message is clear to those that put this poison in our community: we’ll use all legal means to stop you.”
