On October 20, 2026, Investigators with the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division conducted a narcotics operation seeking to disrupt the drug trade in Kerr County.  According to a release, Investigators contacted a male suspect, Aaron Ray Salinas, 36, of San Antonio, through an online chat group.  Salinas agreed to travel from San Antonio to sell and deliver methamphetamine to investigators.

Upon Salinas’ arrival at the predetermined location, a felony stop was made.  A probable cause search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a bag containing 10.2 grams of methamphetamine, according to a release.  Salinas was arrested and booked into the Kerr County Jail without incident and charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, PG 1,>=4G<200g.  Bond was set at $75,000.

“Our Special Operations Division continued to be very active in confronting threats to public safety in Kerr County,” said Sheriff Larry Leitha.  “Whether coming from inside our county or traveling here to engage in the drug trade, our team continues the long-term work of removing dangerous drugs for full prosecution.  Our streets and county are safer through the work of our KCSO Special Operations Division.”
