Kendall County announces May 2 candidate filing begins next week

Candidate filing for the May 2 general election gets underway for candidates in Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch and the Boerne Independent School District.  Filing opens at 8 a.m. on January 14 and continues through 5 p.m., February 13 for the respective races.

Two Boerne district council seats will be on the May ballot: District 1 and District 3.

Fair Oaks voters will find two races on its May ballot: Place 2 councilman and Place 6 councilman.  Fair Oaks council members serve three-year terms.

Places 6 and 7 are up for election in May in the Boerne Independent School District.  All school board positions are for three-year terms.

The last day to register to vote in the election is April 2.  Early voting begins April 20 and runs through April 28, three days before the election, May 2.
