The Kerrville City Council has chosen E.A. Hoppe as the new Kerrville City Manager following the recent retirement of Mark McDaniels. Hoppe has served as Deputy City Manager and will officially assume the City Manager responsibilities at 5 p.m., June 1 assuming council approves the employment contract.

Council approved the motion for the contract with a 4-1 vote. Newly elected Councilmember Roman Garcia was the opposing vote saying he wanted the process to involve applications, evaluations and interviews of multiple candidates for the post.

The newest City of Ingram Councilmembers were sworn into office last week. The three top vote getters in the May 1 general election were Bridget Dale, Robert Kimbrough and Bill Warren.
