Another local governmental office is heading home.  The Kerr County District Clerk’s Office is relocating back to the Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main Street in Kerrville, this week.

The July flood severely damaged the lower level of the courthouse, including its elevators, forcing officials to close the facility and relocate all departments housed there to temporary sites.  While offices on the main floor were able to return in early September, those from the second floor had to wait for the main elevator to be repaired.

The elevator has since been repaired.  The District Clerk’s Office will no longer be using the Hill Country Youth Event Center and will be closed Tuesday-Wednesday, Oct. 13-14.

The District Clerk’s Office will reopen Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Kerr County Courthouse, Suite 236, on the second floor.  The office is open from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.
