Kerr County investigators arrested 39-year old Bradley Russell Hicks, of Center Point on June 25, for allegedly operating a DMT lab. Investigators initially began working the case regarding possible hallucinogen drug production in the Center Point area after acting on a tip from another state agency.

Investigators made contact with a person of interest and gained consent to search the person’s home on Elm Pass Road. During the search, investigators discovered precursor chemicals and other materials known to be involved in the production of hallucinogens, specifically DMT, according to a press release.

Additionally, law enforcement officials are said to have discovered six firearms. Hicks has been charged with Possession or Transport of a Chemical with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, PG2, and was booked into the Kerr County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

“This is the kind of lab you do not see often in Kerr County. With these types of drugs, hallucinogenic effects can cause people to behave in very unpredictable and sometimes dangerous ways,” Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha said.

As in all criminal cases, charges may be added or modified prior to trial, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
