The first day for filing an application is January 19, and the last day to file is February 18. The candidate’s name and place for which he/she is filing must be affixed by the city secretary at the time of the application and petition. Applications must include a filing fee of $100, unless a petition is included with not less than 100 signatures of qualified and registered voters of the city.

Positions on the upcoming ballot include Mayor, Councilmember Place Three and Councilmember Place Four. Currently, Bill Blackburn holds the position of Mayor, Judy Eychner holds the position of Councilmember Place Three and Brenda Hughes holds the position of Councilmember Place Four.
