Kerrville Parks and Rec offers numerous upcoming recreation programs

The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department wants to remind citizens of its upcoming registration details regarding its numerous recreation activities.

On Saturday, July 27, a 3v3 Basketball Tournament will be hosted at the Schreiner University Event Center located at 2100 Memorial Blvd.  The registration fee for the tournament is $45 per team.  Teams can consist of three to eight players, with a maximum of eight teams being accepted.  Registration will close on July 19 at 5 p.m. or whenever a tournament capacity is met.

Those that are interested in playing but do not have a team can contact the Parks and Recreation by phone at (830) 257-7300.  These players will be added to a list from which established teams can draw should they need extra players.

The Kids Triathlon will take place on August 10 within Singing Wind Park at the Olympic Pool, 601 Olympic Drive.  Boys and girls ages 18 years and under are welcome to participate in this swim, bike and run event sponsored by Hill Country Bicycle Works.  The fee for a single child is $15.  For parents with multiple children, there is a discount:  $10 for the second child and $5 for every child after that.  Pre-registration will end August 7 at 5 p.m.  On-site registration will be available for this event (cash or check only), but pre-registration is highly encouraged.

For adults, an Adult Kickball League will commence on Wednesday, September 4 with a registration fee of $350 per team.  The deadline to register for the league is August 23.  The games will be played on Wednesdays.
