The Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has announced that, effective today, the recreation hall and the 30 and 50-amp RV loops on the river side of Kerrville-Schreiner Park have reopened and are available for reservation. However, due to severe infrastructure damage, river access remains unavailable.
“Although the Guadalupe River in Kerrville-Schreiner Park remains inaccessible, the park continues to be an ideal spot for family outings or weekend getaways,” Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation Rosa Ledesma said. “Most of the park’s amenities, including the 14-mile multi-use trail system, a shaded playground, and the pollinator garden, are ready and available for guests. The large Hillside of the park has a lot to offer the community and visitors.”
As the park reopens, guests are reminded that the river area remains closed to the public for safety during ongoing cleanup and debris removal operations. The public is asked to adhere to all posted signage and avoid areas with debris.
For additional information, contact the Parks and Recreation Dept. at (830) 257-7300, or visit the city’s website at www.kerrvilletx.gov.
