The Kerrville Police Department confirms they have two suspects in custody following an ATM robbery that took place Tuesday, October 24 .  KPD received a 911 call at 12:51 p.m. reporting that a person servicing an ATM in the 200 block of Sidney Baker South was robbed at gunpoint by two individuals, one of whom was armed with a handgun, according to a press release.  The 911 caller was able to provide a description of both suspects, as well as a partial license plate number from the silver Mercedes sedan that the suspects were seen driving as they fled the scene.

KPD officers responded to the scene of the alleged robbery and saw a vehicle matching the alleged suspects’ parked in an apartment complex parking lot located in the 700 block of Hill Country Drive.  A witness stated that he saw two people matching the suspects’ descriptions running in the area.  KPD began conducting a search of the apartment complex and discovered one of the suspects hiding inside a utility room.

KPD and detectives from the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office detained one suspect after he exited the utility room and also discovered a handgun inside the room, along with money taken from the alleged robbery.  The second suspect was discovered after exiting the building at roughly 1:37 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
