KPD investigating assault charges following incident at area McDonald’s

The Kerrville Police Department responded to an accident in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 600 Sidney Baker St., after a suspected impaired driver struck two pedestrians in the parking lot.

A 90-year-old woman was transported to a San Antonio hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.  Her 71-year-old son also sustained injuries and was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene before being released.

The driver of the vehicle, Jessica Patterson, 43, of Kerrville, was evaluated at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated and two counts of Aggravated Assault.

The Kerrville Police Department continues to investigate the incident.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
