KERRVILLE — KPUB is now conducting rolling outages at the instruction of ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas).

KPUB UPDATE 2 AS OF 9:15 AM MONDAY

#KPUB, along with other utilities across Texas, is experiencing service interruptions due to peak demand on the statewide electric grid.

This activity is expected to continue through most of the day.

Approximately 1,000 of our customers are experiencing true outages that are not due to the peak demand outages (they will require repairs made on-site by KPUB.

The largest is an outage in Comanche Trace affecting ~300 customers).

The next areas that will experience peak demand service interruptions will be at:-Harper Rd Substation (700 block of Junction Hwy, Westtowards Ingram)-Jack Furman Substation (Ingram East of Blue Ridge)-Stadium Substation (Sidney Baker/Main HEB area).

Rotating outages are controlled, 30 to 60-minute or longer temporary interruptions of electrical service.

Some customers may experience longer outages if failures occur during the restoration process.

Raymond Barker Substation (Center Point area) has been restored.
