Early voting is underway for the March 3, 2026 primary elections. Voters will choose which candidates will represent the Democratic and Republican parties on the ballot in the November general election. Early voting continues through Friday, February 27. Election Day is Tuesday, March 3.
After 7 days of early voting, more than 1.2 million votes have been cast statewide, which is a turnout of 6.75%. Of that number, 52.9% have been in the Democratic party and 47.1% have been in the Republican party.
The Gillespie County Elections Office reported that as of 8 a.m. Tuesday, 2,234 voters have cast their ballots during early voting in the Primary Election. Early voting is being held at the elections office, 95 Frederick Road.
As of Sunday, less than ten percent of the registered voters in Kerr County had cast their ballots. A total of 2,725 Republicans and 635 Democrats have voted, as of February 22.
In total, turnout during the first week of early voting for the midterm election exceeded the same period for the previous two presidential elections, years that typically see higher voter engagement.
