The League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas has scheduled ‘Voter 101’ at the Dietert Center, a class which is intended to present the most current information about voting in Kerr County. Heather Farmer, the Civics Education Coordinator for the LWV Hill Country Texas, will be explaining the specifics and mechanics of voting in Kerr County, including changes to the state’s voting laws, information regarding upcoming elections, and the resources and tools available to assist voters.
Voter 101 is a free Club Ed class, and no registration is required. Two sessions will be offered: Thursday, October 12 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and another class will be offered on Tuesday, October 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Both classes will be held at The Dietert Center, 451 Guadalupe Street in Kerrville.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. This League serves six counties in the Hill Country, including Bandera, Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Llano and has been in existence for more than 40 years.
