Medina County officials asking for public’s help in search for arson suspect

The Medina County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying an arson suspect.  Officials shared a video of a person setting a ditch on fire at the beginning of September on the Medina County Crime Stoppers Facebook page.

The fire was along a major road in Dhanis right beside a railroad track.  In the video, the suspect can be seen setting the fire, then sprinting to his single-cab gray truck and driving off.  Deputies say this happened on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 11:30 p.m.

Officials say the risk of having someone out like this is that they can start another fire that can be even worse.
