Monday is the last day to register to vote ahead of the March primary election in Texas. Voters will decide who moves on to represent each political party in the November midterm elections, including several high-profile races on the ballot. Voters will select party nominees for U.S. Senate and congressional seats, as well as statewide offices including governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general.
To register to vote, you must be at least 18 years old and provide either a Texas driver’s license or Texas ID. Those without either may use the last four digits of their Social Security number.
Voters who are already registered but have moved or changed their name can update their information online through the Texas Secretary of State’s website. Mail-in registration or updates must be postmarked by today, or voters can register in person at their local election office.
Early Voting for the primary election runs February 17 through February 27, with Primary Election Day set for March 3.
