Mountaineers Excel in Colorado Postal Weekend: Personal Records and Season Highs

The Schreiner University Mountaineer Rifle Team turned in another strong weekend of performances in Colorado, competing in postal matches hosted at two premier venues — the U.S. Air Force Academy on Saturday and the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs on Sunday. The Mountaineers displayed consistency, composure, and growth, posting back-to-back team aggregates above 4,300 and achieving multiple personal bests.
Day One: Schreiner vs. Coast Guard (10/25/25) – U.S. Air Force Academy

Aggregate: 4373
The Mountaineers outshot the Coast Guard Academy (3780 aggregate) with commanding performances across both disciplines.
Molly Mitchell led the way, firing a personal record of 560 in smallbore and 576 in air rifle, earning top scores in both events with a 1136 aggregate. Her smallbore PR highlighted the team’s precision and focus on day one.
Cora Anderson followed with an impressive 547 (smallbore) and 566 (air rifle) for a 1113 total, while Isabella Evans added consistency with 538/560 (1098 aggregate).
Christian Nickerson contributed a 1026 aggregate, and Dylan Winters added 886, rounding out Schreiner’s strong squad total.
Schreiner swept the top five individual aggregate positions against Coast Guard, reflecting both depth and discipline in their lineup.
Day Two: Schreiner vs. MIT (10/26/25) – U.S. Olympic Training Center

On day two at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, Schreiner posted its highest aggregate of the season in a close battle with MIT (4419).
Molly Mitchell once again led the team with a 560 in smallbore, tying her personal record set the previous day, and shot a 575 in air rifle for an 1135 aggregate.
Isabella Evans had a breakout performance, firing a career-best 569 in air rifle, contributing to her 1096 total and solidifying her place among Schreiner’s top scorers.
Cora Anderson remained a model of consistency with 552 in smallbore and 574 in air rifle, totaling 1126 for the day.
Christian Nickerson and Dylan Winters added 1045 and 869, respectively, keeping the Mountaineers competitive through both relays.
