Plenty of fun set to happen this weekend at Gillespie County Fair Grounds

Horse racing will continue at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds this weekend, July 15-16, with live pari-mutuel horse racing. Gates will open at noon and post time is 2 p.m. Races will take place rain or shine.

The Gillespie County Fair Grounds is located at 530 Fair Drive, in Fredericksburg. For more information, contact the Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association at (830) 997-2359. General admission is $10 per person. Children ages 6-12 are $5, and children under age five are free. Box seats are available for $20.

Additionally, Night in Old Fredericksburg is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 15, at the Fair Grounds. The washer pitching tournament will kick off at 12:30 p.m., a 42 dominoes tournament at 2 p.m., and goat roping at 3 p.m..
