Peterson Health has been asked to make a statement regarding the mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination requirement ahead of the January 4th deadline.

The Biden-Harris Administration issued an Emergency Regulation regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for healthcare workers. This mandate falls under CMS requirements for Medicare/Medicaid participating facilities, which includes Peterson Health.

As of January 4, 2022, all Peterson Health employees, medical staff, volunteers, contractors and students must be fully vaccinated, unless a medical exemption or sincerely held religious accommodation is submitted and approved by the Human Resources Department.

Currently, Peterson Health has a 73% COVID-19 vaccination rate with the remaining workforce in the process of getting vaccinated or submitting requests for the defined exemptions/accommodations. The Human Resource Department is actively working with all employees in order to attain full compliance with the new, upcoming mandate.
