Property tax statements mailed out in Gillespie County

The Gillespie Central Appraisal District began mailing property tax statements last week, according to Chief Appraiser Scott Fair.

Payments are due by January 31, 2025, and may be made via mail, online at gillespiecad.org, or in person at the GCAD office located at 1159 South Milam Street.  Gillespie Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Gillespie County.  The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).

The Gillespie Central Appraisal District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and is responsible for appraising property located in Gillespie County for ad valorem (property tax) purposes for each taxing unit.  Gillespie Appraisal District is responsible for the fair market appraisal of properties within each of the following tax entities:

~ Gillespie County

~ City of Fredericksburg

~ Doss Consolidated Common School District

~ Fredericksburg Independent School District

~ Harper Independent School District

~ Gillespie Water Control & Improvement District

~ Hill Country Underground Water Conservation District

~ Stonewall Water Control & Improvement District
