Republic Services released an update regarding the City of Kerrville trash and recycling services which were recently impacted by last week’s winter storm. Due to the wintry driving conditions on February 3-4, it was deemed too dangerous for Republic Services trucks to travel.

The company plans to collect the missed trash and recycling items as follows:

Thursday trash collection: Residents are asked to set their trash bin at the road on Thursday, their normal trash collection day. Trash bags that will not fit in the bin may be placed on the road, as well. The company asks that the bags be set a minimum of three feet to the side of the trash bin and that bins are not overfilled.

Friday recycling collection: Recycling will be collected on the normal recycling day of Friday, February 18. Residents are asked to either save extra items that don’t fit inside their bin for a later date, or discard them with their trash on their regularly scheduled trash day.

For any additional questions contact Republic Services at (830) 522-3062, or the City of Kerrville Public Works Department at (830) 258-1221.
