The 10th Annual Kerrville Triathlon Festival will be held this weekend, September 25-26, and will consist of 8 races, a sports exposition and a free Kids Fun Run. The event is being professionally organized by High Five Events, out of Austin, which has been working closely with the City of Kerrville, Kerr County and TxDOT.

Event organizers want to remind everyone to anticipate various lane closures and the re-routing of alternate routes which will be occurring during this event. Be advised to expect traffic delays, and please drive with extreme caution as cyclists and runners will be on the roadways.

Street closures will include sections of Water Street, segments of Highway 16 and 27, portions of the 534 bridge and areas in Louise Hays Park while events are in progress. It is estimated that the park will re-open around noon on Saturday and at roughly 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The G Street Trailhead will be closed on Saturday until noon and again on Sunday until 5 p.m. The Kerrville Schreiner Park Trailhead will be closed for the duration of the event on Sunday until approximately 5 p.m. but is expected to remain open all day Saturday.
