Graduates of Schreiner University 2024 Vocational Nursing program all tested for and passed the NCLEX, the national licensure exam to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). “We are incredibly proud of our Vocational Nursing students for achieving a perfect 100% NCLEX pass rate,” said Bri Watkins, Interim Undergraduate Nursing Programs Chair. “This remarkable accomplishment not only highlights their dedication and skill but also brings a vital boost to our community. With more qualified nurses entering the workforce, we can look forward to better patient care and a stronger, more resilient healthcare system for Kerrville.”
Schreiner University’s Vocational Nursing students undergo a rigorous one-year program that includes 676 class hours on campus and 839 clinical hours at Peterson Health Care, and local nursing homes and clinics. Twenty students are enrolled in the 2025 cohort, representing all ages and backgrounds. Students in the 2024 cohort achieved 100% job placement.
Schreiner University’s has received state and national recognition for its nursing programs, including #2 Nursing Program in Texas, #3 Online RN to BSN Program in Texas, 2023-24 Colleges of Distinction Recognition, and Nursing Programs with High Graduate Success Rates.
