A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the mass shooting that killed one and injured 13 others in downtown Austin’s Sixth Street early Saturday morning.

Jeremiah Roshaun Leland James Tabb, 17, was arrested Monday without incident in Killeen while enrolled in a summer school class at Harker Heights High School, according to a press release. Tabb is being charged with aggravated assault, according to the Austin Police Department.

APD has confirmed that another juvenile was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with the shootings, which happened in the 400 block of 6th Street early Saturday morning. During an APD police briefing, authorities said that some of the victims were taken to area hospitals in patrol cars because of the size of the crowds and the chaotic scene making it difficult for EMS to get to the location.

Douglas John Kantor, 25, who was visiting Austin from New York, died from his injuries at an Austin hospital at 12:01 p.m. Sunday.

The Killeen Police Department are working with the Austin Police Department in this ongoing investigation.
