TEA releases state ratings Friday

The latest Texas Education Agency state ratings were released Friday morning prior to Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath’s news conference at New Braunfels ISD’s Oak Run Middle School, scheduled for 10 a.m.  The ratings are intended to measure how districts and campuses are performing across three areas: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps.  Those categories look at factors such as academic outcomes, year-to-year growth and how well schools are serving different student groups.

Here’s how some of the Hill Country districts performed in the 2025-26 ratings:

~Boerne ISD

Overall: A (92 out of 100)

~Center Point ISD

Overall: C (79 out of 100)

~Comfort ISD

Overall: C (75 out of 100)

~Fredericksburg ISD

Overall: B (89 out of 100)

~Harper ISD

Overall: B (88 out of 100)

~Ingram ISD

Overall: A (91 out of 100)

~Kerrville ISD

Overall: B (81 out of 100)
