The City of Kerrville Street Division will be closing the city’s standard short parade route to include downtown on Thursday, October 10, for the 2024 Tivy High School homecoming parade. Parade entrants will be staging on Hugo Street starting at 5:30 p.m.
The parade will turn right from Hugo onto Water Street, go east on Water across Sidney Baker, and end at the Star at Earl Garrett and Water. Water Street will be closed from Sidney Baker to Washington Street, and Earl Garrett Street will be closed from Water Street to Main Street, starting at 5:45 p.m. The parade will start at 6:15 p.m.
This closure will last about two hours. Citizens should expect heavy traffic congestion in and around these areas, and drivers should seek alternate routes.
All of these areas will be accessible to emergency service vehicles in the event of an emergency, otherwise alternate routes should be planned.
