The Austin City limits music festival is preparing for a big comeback after a 2020 COVID-19 cancellation and has announced that ticket sales for the weekends (October 1-3 and 8-10) will kick off at noon Thursday. This year’s lineup for the festival’s 20th anniversary was announced at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Headlining the shows in October are George Strait, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cirus, Rufus Du Sol, Dababy and Erykah Badu. Organizers said that more than 20 of the artists are from Texas.

ACL tickets include three-day admission to the concerts in Austin’s Zilker Park. It is anticipated that interest will likely be high as the state has been re-opening due to dropping infection rates and increased vaccinations.

The festival’s cancellation, according to a 2019 study, presented a blow to Austin’s economy, as the event brought almost $1.5 billion to the area that year. The 2021 events will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the festival.

Kerrville’s Cailloux Theater will be opening back up to full audiences again beginning June 1 with a performance by Bobby Flores. A week later, Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee are scheduled to pay the venue a visit. For additional information visit www.CaillouxPerformingArts.com.
