Two fatalities were reported Saturday, October 23, at a drag racing event which took place at Kerrville Aviation at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport.
At approximately 3:20 p.m., a vehicle participating in the event lost control, left the runway crashing into parked vehicles and striking spectators observing the races.
The Kerrville Police Department is reporting two fatalities and multiple people being injured. Four individuals were transported by air ambulances to treatment facilities in San Antonio, and at least one person is being treated at Peterson Regional Medical Center.
The Kerrville Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, and said no further information will be released at this time.
