Weekly ‘Recall Roundup’

Here is a list of this weeks recalled products:

~A compounding pharmacy that distributes customized pharmaceuticals nationwide has issued a recall for three products that may have contained elevated levels of toxins.  Centric Compounding, based in Texas, issued a recall for its Glutathione, Myer’s Cocktail and Tri-Immune Boost injectables  on Sept. 11.  A total of six lots of the injectables were recalled; they were sent to prescribers and directly to patients nationwide.

In its recall alert, Centric Compounding is urging its customers to stop using the injectables and throw them away.  The company says it is arranging for replacements to be provided to users.  Anyone with concerns should contact the company by calling 1-833-777-6664 or via email at info@centriccompounding.com.

~Roughly 195,000 heating blankets and pads are under recall after dozens of burn injuries were reported, federal safety regulators said Thursday.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall alert for JKMax heating blankets and pads sold on Amazon.  The recalled blankets and pads were sold between Sept. 2022 and July 2026.

Customers are urged to stop using the recalled blankets and pads.  The manufacturer said consumers can request a full refund for the products.  Those with questions about the recall can contact the company toll-free at 800-917-5732 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday or email JkmaxRecall@outlook.com.

~A toy company is recalling about 84,000 children’s fire truck activity boards after reports that a small port on the toy’s fire hose can come loose and detach, posing a serious choking hazard.  The recall was announced Sept. 17, 2026, by toyseller Melissa & Doug.  According to a recall notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the company has received 26 reports of the small port coming loose from the toy.

The recalled toy, called the “Lights & Sounds Fire Truck Activity Board,” is a compact red plastic fire engine with four black wheels and a white rotating ladder.  The toy features various moving parts that activate lights and sounds.  The recalled toys were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from July 2025 through August 2026 for about $30.

Customers should immediately stop allowing children to use the recalled fire truck activity boards and register for a refund through the company’s website.

~A recall of more than half a million products has been upgraded to the FDA’s highest level over concerns that an ingredient in the foods is contaminated with a life-threatening bacteria.  NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC, with facilities located in Missouri City and Houston, Texas, voluntarily recalled 18 products containing jalapeno peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors due to a potential for contamination with salmonella.  The products were distributed throughout Texas and Louisiana between July 3 and August 5, 2026.  They have best-by or use-by dates ranging from July 13 to August 15, 2026.

The recall was first issued on August 8, but was not classified at the time.  On Wednesday, the FDA classified it as Class I, indicating ‘a situation in which there is reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.’

The original recall applied to Nature best Soup Mix, various HEB Pico de Gallo mixes, Nature best Mild Cheddar & Jalapeno Stuffed Mushrooms, various Nature best Pico de Gallo mixes, HEB Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Mushrooms, Nature best Diced Jalapeno, and HEB Diced Jalapeno.

The new classification applies to 62,856 cases each of eight products, including the soup mix, pico de Gallo mixes, jalapeno peppers, stuffed mushrooms and a HEB guacamole kit.  For more information visit the FDA’s website.

~Pints of a popular frozen dessert are being recalled over concerns they may contain small stones and other hard objects, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  According to a recall alert, Danone USA is voluntarily recalling its So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints with best-by dates on and before April 3, 2028.  In the recall alert, the company warns small stones and other hard objects may be found within the cashew inclusions.

Consumers who purchased the recalled products are encouraged to contact the company by calling 1-833-367-8975, or by visiting its website at sodeliciousdaryfree.com/contact-us, for a replacement coupon or refund.

~A recall affecting nearly 2,700 cases of hand soaps has been categorized as a Class II event by the Food and Drug Administration, according to a recent report from the agency.  The recall, first initiated in June by the St. Louis-based Intercon Chemical Co., concerns six different varieties of soap which were distributed largely to wholesale outlets across 15 states.  An enforcement report published by the FDA indicates all six soaps were potentially contaminated with bacteria.  More information on the affected soaps, including their lot codes and best-by dates, can be found in the FDA’s enforcement report.

~Another popular children’s squeeze toy has been recalled over concerns that the beads within it could cause serious injury or even death, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  More than 275 Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys, imported by Toyworld168, Inc., are impacted by the recall, published Thursday.  The toys were sold at “various third-party stores” in the U.S. in June and July for about $3 each.

If you or your child have any of these squishy toys, the CPSC encourages you to stop using them immediately.  To receive a full refund from Toyworld168, you will need to write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the toy and its container, take a picture of it, and throw it away.  The photo can then be sent to toyworld16850@gmail.com.
