Whataburger says it has raised more than $1.5 million for the victims of flooding in the Texas Hill Country through their “Cups that Care” collectible cups campaign.  Since launching this campaign, Whataburger says they’ve sold hundreds of thousands of cups.

Guests across 17 states came together from July 9 through September 8 and purchased the limited-edition $2 commemorative cups, with every cup helping to benefit relief efforts.  Whataburger will announce on Tuesday, Sept. 16, how these funds are being distributed to the nine nonprofit organizations providing disaster response, mental health care, and long-term rebuilding support.

The nonprofits that will be receiving support include:

~Children’s Bereavement Center

~Team Rubicon

~Gary Sinese Foundation

~Community Foundation of the Trexas Hill Country

~Band Together Texas Foundation

~Applause for the Cause

~San Antonio Botanical Garden

~San Angelo Relief Foundation

~Hill Country Community Foundation

“Texas is our home, and we are proud to stand strong with our neighbors in the Hill Country to bring hope and relief to those who need it most,” said Whataburger.
