On Friday, Schreiner battled, but fell short. Despite a competitive first half and solid contributions from the starting lineup, foul trouble and rebounding challenges shifted the momentum in the second half. The Mountaineers stayed within striking distance but could not overcome a late run by their opponent, resulting in a setback to close out the weekend.

In Sunday’s matchup, the Mountaineers delivered a complete performance on both ends of the floor. Schreiner controlled the tempo early, converting key opportunities in transition and capitalizing at the free-throw line. A strong defensive effort limited second-chance points and forced crucial turnovers down the stretch. Balanced scoring and disciplined execution in the fourth quarter helped the Mountaineers secure the victory and build momentum heading into the weekend finale.
