The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators, with the assistance of KCSO Deputies, executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Lowrance Drive, in Kerrville, for methamphetamine sales and manufacturing counterfeit U.S. currency. Arrested in this warrant service were Matthew Gugliotti, Irene Cano, and Angela Cole.
KCSO Narcotics Division received information regarding Mr. Gugliotti, 31, of Kerrville, counterfeiting U.S Currency, spurring KCSO Investigators to look into this particular matter. During the course of this investigation, investigators obtained a search warrant for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, along with a search warrant for the residence of Gugliotti.
Gugliotti is also facing additional charges of tampering with evidence. Investigators allegedly discovered $9,000 of counterfeit currency, a printer and drug paraphernalia.
The United States Secret Service was notified and will be working with the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues. This case holds the new record as the largest counterfeiting bust in Kerr County history.
In the course of serving the search warrant, Irene Cano, 44, of Kerrville, was arrested for interfering with duties of a public servant. Angela Cole, 29, of Kerrville, was arrested for evading arrest and for an outstanding violation of Probation warrant, after a brief foot chase involving Sheriff Larry Leitha and Chief Deputy Cris LaLonde.
Gugliotti’s bond was set at $45,000. Cano’s bond was set at $1,000. Cole’s bond was set at $4,500.
