KCSO makes arrests for Drugs, Warrants and Tampering

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, with the assistance of KCSO Deputies and Kerrville Police Department Patrol executed a search warrant at a residence in Kerrville, seeking the arrest of a felony suspect from Gillespie County. During the warrant service, two suspects were arrested.

Cecilia Brooks, 47, of Fredericksburg, was arrested on active felony narcotics warrants and for Evading Arrest and Detention, after a brief attempt to flee and hide from officers inside the residence, according to a press release.

Stewart Lee, 63, of Austin, was arrested for Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Controlled Substance. During the encounter, Lee attempted to flush a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia down a toilet, according to a press release.

Officers seized methamphetamine (app. 7.7 grams), loaded syringes with clear liquid substance which weighed approximately 2 grams, marijuana under two ounces and drug paraphernalia. Upon arrest, both suspects were booked into the Kerr County Jail.

Additional charges may be added and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Bonds have not been set.

Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha issued a statement saying, “Our Special Investigations Unit does a great job for the people of Kerr County. They executed this warrant service with skill and professionalism. This division has a successful track record of confronting major felony activity, including drugs, online exploitation, smuggling and organized crime.”
