The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), assisted by the KCSO Patrol Division, executed a warrant service east of Kerrville for a wanted felony suspect. During the operation, investigators discovered approximately 4.23 pounds of marijuana, 176 grams of concentrated THC wax, over $7,000 in U.S. currency, along with a firearm and ammunition, according to a press release.
Henry Reyes, 24, of Kerrville, was arrested on one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG<1g, one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG2>4g<400g, and one count of Possession of Marijuana>4oz<=5lbs. Reyes was booked into the Kerr County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is nearly $38,000. Added to the cash seizure, the total value of this alleged drug dealing operation is roughly $45,000.
Additional charges may be added as this investigation continues, and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
“Taking this quantity of marijuana off Kerr County streets is a credit to our SIU team and supporting deputies,” said Sheriff Larry Leitha. Leitha added that the amount seized is not a one-person supply and removing it from circulation will likely interrupt others who may be involved in the drug trade in Kerr and surrounding counties.
