The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library is excited to introduce LEAP (Learning, Exploration, Adventure, Play) Adventure Kits, a hands-on resource designed to help families explore nature, science, and the world around them.  These themed kits are now available for checkout with a current library card account.

Each kit includes carefully selected books, activities, and interactive materials to support family learning and outdoor discovery.  Topics include:

~Birds – binoculars, field guides, and storybooks

~Gardening – seed packets, plant guides, and children’s gardening tools

~Rocks & Fossils – magnifiers, identification charts, and excavation activities

~Native Plants – field materials and guides to Texas flora

“With the LEAP Adventure Kits, families can take library learning beyond our walls,” said Diane Miller, director of the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library.  “These kits are designed to spark curiosity, encourage exploration, and by connecting kids with science and nature in fun, memorable ways.”

LEAP Kits were developed with support from the H-E-B Foundation and the Texas Children in Nature Network.  To browse and reserve a kit, visit the library’s catalogue at https://kerrvilletx.biblionix.com/catalog/ and search “LEAP Adventure Kits.”

For assistance, patrons can contact the library’s reference desk at (830) 258-1274.
