Authorities have given the all-clear at Fredericksburg Middle School after a reported bomb threat prompted a law enforcement response Wednesday afternoon. The Fredericksburg Police Department said an ATF and Texas Department of Public Safety explosive detection K-9 team conducted a sweep and found no credible threat.
Police initially responded to the school after the bomb threat was reported. As officers and school officials investigated, authorities asked parents and community members to avoid the campus and surrounding area to allow first responders to work.
At 2:17 p.m., police announced the campus had been cleared and said school operations would resume as normal.
No additional information about the origin of the threat has been released.
